About Us

We began our journey with Labradors in 2001 with a lab mix that was given to us from a local farm who had an accidental breeding.

Our two year old at the time kept calling our yellow pup, Honey, and that name stuck. Honey was a loyal companion and fun loving pet for our kids. Sadly, her breeding was not from quality stock and she struggled with some expensive health issues. Thankfully, we were able to get her surgery and keep her with us through 2011. This was the second dog we owned as a family and I learned from both that quality breeding can save expensive health issues for your pup and heart ache for you.

Our story continues with a non-profit organization just three miles from our home. Our two year old was now twelve and missing our family dog. She decided to invest in raising a foster puppy for PAWS With A Cause. PAWS trains service dogs for those who need help with daily tasks. Seven Labrador puppies later we were hooked on the breed and had learned to love their natural bond with people and fun-loving, eager to please temperament. Our desire to continue to help others achieve their goal of having that quality loyal companion fuels our investment in breeding Labradors.

This step in our lives is a natural extension of our family farm in Dorr where we have raised our seven children and Simmental cattle. We bought  a small hobby farm which all started with our kids showing animals in 4H. Raising our own cattle for the kids to show turned into a love for raising healthy quality cattle for others to breed. The life style required for raising animals on a hobby farm, means my husband does a lot of hard work after work at his day job. It also means spending a lot of time teaching our kids how to help around the farm and the value of that work. Nurturing animals teaches respect, love and compassion along with responsibility. The animals we raise gives our property its purpose.

We are super excited to be on this journey of breeding our own Labradors so that others can enjoy a quality companion, show a champion, or train a hunting dog.
